Second Ascent is Adventure Brewing Company’s Imperial/Double IPA.   It clocks in at 9.5 % ABV and 100 IBU, built on a lean malt backbone that lets the hops shine. Hopped exclusively with Citra and Simcoe, it delivers bright citrus and pine notes without overpowering bitterness.  Has a pronounced citrus and tropical fruit aroma with a piney, floral hop character balanced by a subtly sweet malt backbone and crisp finish.  A mouthfeel that is smooth, full-bodied, slightly light on carbonation, making it dangerously drinkable despite its strength.
